An actress for cinema, stage and television, Chin-Chin Gutierrez has appeared in over 20 feature film – including six foreign productions – and has twice been awarded one of the finest actresses in asia.

 

Over the last 15 years, Chin-Chin had the privilege of working with some of the country’s most esteemed directors, scriptwriters and thespians, having began her acting career as a teenager when National Artist for Film Eddie Romero handpicked her for the role of Maria Clara in the television opus, Noli Me Tangere, Filmed in 1991 for the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

 

From this initial foray into acting, she moved on to cinema, driven by her usual flair and drive for achieving perfection in any given craft. Her first major film, "Maala-ala Mo Kaya: The Movie", won for her the coveted Gawad Urian for Best Supporting Actress in 1994, along with a nomination from the PMPC Star Awards for the same category that year. Since then, she has been a finalist for outstanding performances as lead or supporting actress in all the major award-giving bodies of the Philippines, firmly establishing the industry's regard for her as one fo the most valuable actresses in the country.
